RANDOM OPTION MUSIC
ONE is the debut album from Random Option. A new band formed by members of MAMA (Genesis Tribute Band) and THE MOUSETRAP FACTORY. The album will be released in February 2025 on Band Camp (Digital) and Burning Shed (CD).

The Band
James Cooper – Drums & Percussion
At the start of his music career, James formed his own Genesis tribute act Moonlit Knight, which lasted a year and then he became the drummer with Mama (Genesis tribute band), which was over 12 years ago. He initially worked in a recording studio with the band Crows In The Cornfield and in 2019 he worked with Moonshot on the album Worlds of Yesterday which was released in 2020. He is currently working with David on his forthcoming solo album.
Brian Hulse – Guitars & Additional Keyboards
Brian is a member of Plenty alongside Tim Bowness and David. Additionally, Brian, David and Antony work with Peter Goddard as members of the band The Mousetrap Factory whose second album is due later this year. Also he has worked with Tim Bowness on several albums, Flowers At The Scene, Late Night Laments and Butterfly Mind. Brian has released several solo albums, his latest album, The Pill Box and The Thief, is available from Bandcamp.
David K. Jones – Bass, Bass Pedals & Additional Guitars/Keyboards
David is a member of Mama (Genesis Tribute Band), Moonshot, Plenty and The Mousetrap Factory. He released his debut solo album, Days In Corners, in 2020. Also he played on three songs on the Tim Bowness album Flowers At The Scene and is currently working with Tim and Brian on the third Plenty album.
John Wilkinson – Vocals
As well as singing with Random Option, John is lead vocalist with Mama (Genesis tribute band), Ellesmere, Moonshot and The Swan Chorus. He has worked with Bill Bressler and The Samurai of Prog. Last year he released his debut solo album, Imposter Syndrome which has been universally well received with excellent reviews.
Antony Wretham – Piano, Organ & Keyboards
Antony trained in fine art at Liverpool and is a renowned painter, photographer and musician. All the artwork on the Random Option album was created by Antony. Along with Brian, David and Peter Goddard he was a founder member of the Liverpool band A Better Mousetrap, who have reformed as The Mousetrap Factory.
